Testimonials
This has been a wonderful experience, engaging John services has bought an average garden to something spectacular. John and his team of craft’s men employed their expertise finishing each task with a high quality standard which transformed areas of the garden. The easy communication with John during the project was professional and involving in all ways, and we are grateful for all the ideas that he presented to us. Everyone that has visited the garden since the work was finished has been impressed and we have no hesitation to recommend the Garden & Stone Craft team.
I've worked on 2 projects with John from Garden Stone craft, and I'm truly happy with the results in both cases. The first is a 36 metre drystone retaining wall winding through the garden. The intricacy of the stone work and the detailing in the finishing is first rate, and the outcome exactly as expected. John was great to work with, ready to offer opinions and advice, but in the end keen to be sure he had all the information required to deliver the dream. A year or so on, the wall has settled in and looks as though it has been in place for 50 years. The wall makes the garden, and I'm sure adds value to the property far beyond its cost.
More recently John and his team completed approximately 80 metres of stone paving around the house. Again, John was able to offer advice on how to complete the project, while making sure it worked with the property and our ideas. Not as easy as it may sound!!. The spread of colour and shapes amongst the stones is really striking, and the intricate jigsaw of colours and textures ground the house with strength and natural beauty. Again, a fantastic result.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend John for any project. His enthusiasm and love for his work guarantee a great outcome.
Just writing to thank you and your team for the beautiful stonework you have done at our home. Garden Stonecraft came in to complete a partially done crazy paving project. It was an extensive patio and entrance way and extended right the way around our home. The material used was an unusual aqua green slate, whilst a beautiful colour, proved to be a very difficult material to work with. John and his great team worked carefully and patiently over many weeks to create a rhythmic pattern with the irregular slate, and the finished result is stunning and really lifts the whole outdoor area.
On completion of that, they embarked on a Formal stone edged vegetable garden. Using local stone, handpicked from a property nearby, the boys carefully laid out the stone walls for the beds to my design. The design was a circular central bed, with curved beds sorrounding it, all within a larger square. Again this was a challenging job, with the careful laying out of the geometry of the design, and the scale, but the result is superb. Vegetable gardening is now a joy in such a beautiful contained space. So thank you for making such a great contribution to our outdoor areas. Your work will stand for many years to come. Its great to see true craftsmanship, being passed on to the younger generation. It really is such a skill, to be proud of.
